Washington state’s dominant seafood company is getting bigger with the acquisition of a German seafood processing plant to process Alaska-caught seafood in Europe.
Trident Seafoods Corp. on Tuesday announced plans to buy Germany’s Pickenpack Vertriebs (PPV) and The Seafood Traders (TST) processing facility, in the German city of Riepe.
Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
Seattle-based Trident is by far Washington’s largest seafood company, with revenue of $2.6 billion and 6,000 employees around the world, according to Business insights Global.
