This week marks the 10th annual Maritime Industry Economic Forecast breakfast in Seattle held by the King County maritime community.

The breakfast meeting discusses opportunities and challenges facing the region’s maritime and fishing industries, and their contributions to region’s economy and quality of life. In November 2022, more than 270 industry leaders attended.

The event will be held from 8-10 a.m. during Pacific Marine Expo at the Lumen Field Events Center. Breakfast includes free admission to the West Coast’s largest commercial marine and fishing trade show.

This year’s presentations include:

Why Washington Maritime Works: Economic Impact of Washington’s Maritime Industry, presented by Chad See of the Washington Maritime Federation and Heather Haugland of the McKinley Research Group. 

Maritime Innovation, with speakers Port of Seattle Commissioner Hamdi Mohamed and Joshua Berger, founder and president/CEO of Washington Maritime Blue.

Maritime Transportation, with Jon Burdick, president/CEO of Lynden.

Washington State Maritime Update, with Washington state Rep. Julia Reed.
