Another Coast Guard rescue mission was caught on camera. This time, four men were saved early Monday morning after their 26-foot fishing boat began taking on water off the coast of Southwest Florida.

It’s the second rescue in the last week in which a Coast Guard plane took off from Air Station Clearwater.

One week ago Monday, Capt. Danny Gillibrand of Bradenton, along with his crewmate, escaped death. Their boat began taking on water about 50 miles to the northwest of Boca Grande. The boat eventually sank and left the two men floating in their life raft in the Gulf waiting for help.

This time, Lafayette Beers, Joel Eerdmans, Brian Kekstan, and Richard Melema, all of Grand Rapids, Michigan, found themselves floating in a 26-foot boat, 23 miles southwest of Big Marco Pass.
