The first great white shark seen in Cape Cod waters this year was photographed eating a seal off Monomoy Monday.

Shark researchers with the the Mass. Division of Marine Fisheries and Atlantic White Shark Conservancy captured dramatic images and underwater video of an 11-foot great white shark feasting on its prey.

The female shark has not been previously identified and is "new and now part of the population study," according to a tweet from the Atlantic White Shark Conservancy.
