Local residents could find themselves without crawfish to eat on Good Friday.
The January flooding, this week's cold snap and an early Easter date have left restaurants and sellers of live crawfish with a low supply of crawfish on a day when many families in Acadiana celebrate with crawfish boils.
"We'll have enough for our boiled crawfish in the restaurant," said Edward Wilkerson, owner of Louisiana Crawfish Time in Lafayette. "Live crawfish, we will probably run out pretty quick."
