A man was found dead in the Kingston Marina Thursday morning in a suspected drowning.

According to the Kitsap County Sheriff's Office, a search for a 42-year-old man of Bellingham was launched after a crew member on a commercial fishing boat called 911 to report the deckhand was missing.

A deputy found the man underwater at the end of a dock in the marina, according to a social media post by KCSO, and an investigation of his death is underway.

KCSO said the cause and manner of death is pending the Kitsap County Medical Examiner's autopsy, as well as the victim's identity, which will be released once his family is notified.
