So far in 2024, the U.S. Coast Guard has seized over 3,000 pounds of fish in the Texas Gulf of Mexico. The total reaches nearly half of what officials confiscated the prior year thanks to a system that helps detect illegal fishing in the Gulf, according to the agency.
