SEATTLE (AP) — The crew aboard a 314-foot fishing vessel off the Washington coast managed to extinguish an engine room fire originally reported as uncontrolled, the Coast Guard said Monday.

No injuries were reported among the 120 people aboard the Arctic Storm.

Four other commercial fishing vessels that responded to a Coast Guard call for assistance evacuated 78 crew members and planned to take them to Westport, Petty Officer 3rd Class Nate Littlejohn said. The remaining 42 crew members planned to continue staffing the Arctic Storm.
