CHARLESTON, SC (WMBF) – The Coast Guard responded to a vessel 48 miles southeast of Folly Beach taking on water Saturday.
Watchstanders in the Coast Guard Sector Charleston command center received a report at 4:10 a.m. from the captain of the 37-foot commercial fishing vessel.
According to the report, the vessel was disabled and the crew was unable to restart its main engines. It was also reported that the boat was taking on water from a leak in the back of the boat.
