Skip's Marine Inc., headquartered in New Bedford, Mass., emerges as a leading supplier, catering to over 250 wholesale and retail clients with premium seafood packaging products nationwide. Established by Raymond "Skip" Drouin in 1962, the company has evolved from its initial focus on supplying nets and hardware to commercial fishing vessels.

Ray Drouin, now the President, fondly reflects on his early work experiences at the age of 12, undertaking tasks such as stocking shelves and unloading trucks during summer breaks. Rooted in a family-oriented approach, Ray's mother diligently managed the small office for over two decades, and his sister Anne, currently serving as the CFO, later joined the team.

In 1989, the company took a strategic leap into the seafood packaging sector, initiating modestly but achieving consistent growth each year. With an extensive catalog featuring over 800 items, the company efficiently operates trucks, facilitating daily deliveries of 200 pallets of products across New England and the entire country from its modern 80,000 sq ft facility.

The company stands out by offering a diverse range of packaging solutions, including plastic or metal containers, waxed or corrugated boxes, crates, styrofoam boxes, or bags. Key products include Fish Totes and Insulated Vat, constructed from durable polyethylene and meeting USDC and FDA standards. These totes are a highlight, recognized for their ease of handling, corrosion resistance, and preservation of seafood freshness. Additionally, the Insulated Vats, designed for processing fresh seafood, prioritize durability and user-friendly features.

Committed to eco-friendly practices and contributing to the economy, Skip's Marine collaborates with manufacturers to enhance industry standards. Customers can trust the company for high-quality products and a steadfast commitment to a healthy environment. The team is ready to meet diverse seafood packaging needs, ensuring expertise and customer satisfaction at every stage.
