Perko Expands Lightship Series with New Amber LED “Fogmaster” Lights for Commercial Vessels
Miami FL- Perko® has expanded its High Performance LED Lightship™ Series with the addition of new heavy duty LED AMBER lights to replace aging sodium vapor light fixtures commonly installed on commercial fishing and service vessels.
Developed on the robust Lightship Series platform, the new “Fogmaster” lights are designed for use aboard commercial fishing, OSVs, large workboats, and inland commercial vessels. They are available in three (3) sizes for all areas of decks and workspaces. A spotlight version is also available for forward facing lights when a narrower beam is desired.
The 300 Watt LS300 is anticipated to be the most popular using a fraction of the amperage that 1000 watt conventional sodium vapor lights consume, and while the 12/24 volt light engine requires an optional 110/220V power supply for AC powered vessels, no ballast is needed, reducing the amperage requirement, and carbon footprint considerably.
The Fogmaster lights give the mariner or fleet operator a premium LED choice for high intensity lighting, all while delivering 2700 K amber illumination to help minimize glare in fog, rain, snow or other challenging weather events.
