A 28-year-old lobsterman died after falling overboard Saturday off Jonesport, the Coast Guard said.
Chief Petty Officer Michael Faivre said Coast Guard officials were notified of the incident about 1:50 p.m. Saturday. One of the crew members of the lobster boat Melinda Ann said another crew member had fallen overboard and been pulled back on the vessel, but wasn’t responding to CPR being performed by the third crew member.
A Coast Guard response boat, already underway, was sent to the vessel, Faivre said.
