The impact that trash is having on the ocean, on the environment and on the livelihood of fishermen was a specific focus at Pacific Marine Expo 2021. Numerous people took to the stage to detail the steps they're taking to reduce the amount of pollution in the ocean.

Ash Williams from Grundens and Nikki & Taylor Strout from Rugged Seas were part of that converation and we caught up with both of them to further detail their efforts. Rugged Seas recycles old fishing bibs and rain gear into bags, backpacks, hats and other products, all while giving back to the fishing industry. Grundens is committed to using its strength as a business to also help protect and maintain sustainable fisheries around the world.

Hear what both have to say about the panel, about how others can get involved with their efforts and much more.
