STONINGTON, CT (WFSB) - Authorities are looking into the cause of fire on a lobster boat in Stonington.

A lobster boat, called The Lindy Inc., owned by a well-known lobster family, caught on fire when it was tied to the town dock. As it was sinking, the boat was tied to another boat that it pulled down with it.

The incident is being investigated by Stonington Police Department, along with the state fire marshal and the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection.

"Nothing at this point indicates anything suspicious but we are conducting an investigation to determine the cause," said Stonington Police Capt. Todd Olson.
