Police in Lincoln City, Ore., say their search has been called off for a shrimp fisherman missing on Siletz Bay on the Oregon coast.

 

Sgt. Brian Eskridge says a jacket believed to belong to 56-year-old Brian Andrew Martin of Salem was recovered from the water. The officer says Martin may have drowned in the incoming tide.

 

Martin and a Salem-area friend set out about 3 a.m. Monday to collect sand shrimp during the low tide. The friends got separated and the second man searched and then contacted police when Martin did not return to their vehicle.
