Earlier this month, the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) Fish & Wildlife’s Artificial Reef Program staff deployed a new addition to the Manasquan Inlet Reef site.

The F/V C. ANN, a 55-foot former steel commercial fishing boat, was prepared and sunk off the coast.

This deployment was made possible by donations from the Greater Point Pleasant Charter Boat Association, Bill Cleary of Brielle, NJ, and Depth Charge Marine.

This deployment is the ninth deployment on the relatively new reef, and will provide habitat for over 150 species of marine organisms, including black sea bass, tautog, summer flounder, lobsters, crabs, and mussels.

Coordinates for this deployment are 40°04’23.4″N and 73°58’51.8″W.
