Miami-based marine equipment maker Perko recently announced it began shipping its largest 300-watt LED unit mounted on a remotely controlled base. The model marks the latest addition to Perko’s new Lightship series of high-performance LED lights.

The new Lightship series utilizes patented technologies, such as advanced thermal management systems, and highly engineered optics control to outperform and LED spotlights available today, according to the manufacturer.

The Perko remote control and heavy-duty base utilized on a number of Perko searchlights through the years allows trouble-free panning for buoy location, search and rescue, and other commercial work, the company said.

Features include an IP68 rating, a 10-year warranty on the LED and light engine assembly, and a robust mounting platform. The system offers optimum light output with low amperage draw of the lighting assembly.

“Whether it’s for commercial fishing, naval and patrol craft, equipping your vessel with a Perko Lightship Series light ensures that every time you push away from the dock, your journey is lit with precision, reliability, and high-performance light output,” according to the company’s announcement.
