ComFish is the largest and longest-running fisheries trade show in Alaska, scheduled for April 16-18, 2026.
Kodiak is gearing up for the arrival of hundreds of visitors for the annual ComFish Alaska Expo and Fisheries Forums Thursday, April 16th through Saturday 18th at Kodiak Marketplace. Kodiak is home to a diverse commercial fishing fleet, with more than 700 vessels homeported at its two harbors.
Kodiak consistently ranks in the top 10 U.S. fishing ports for seafood landings and value. This year's trade show features over 60 vendors at the Kodiak Marketplace. We welcome all commercial fishermen from fishing communities throughout the entire state to attend.
In its 47th year of service to the fishing industry, ComFish Alaska continues to adapt to the changing face of fisheries technology, markets, and regulatory actions. ComFish provides a unique opportunity for people to bring their goods and services directly to where people in the fishing industry live and work, and serves as a one-stop shop for stakeholders to get the latest information about seafood industry issues, as well as meet and connect with our political representatives.
Everything kicks off on Wednesday, April 15th with Fish Taco Night at Kodiak Island Brewing & Still from 4:30 to 6:30. This year, all fisheries forums start at 9:00 am Thursday through Saturday at the Harbor Room inside the Best Western Kodiak Inn and will also be broadcast live online.
On Saturday, the 18th, they'll close out the Forums with Alaska Sea Grant hosting a Fisherman’s Showcase & Reception at Fisherman’s Hall on Marine Way starting at 12:30.
The ComFish Alaska Expo takes place Thursday April 16th & Friday the 17th from 10 am to 5 pm, and on Saturday, April 18th from 9 am to 1 pm at the Kodiak Marketplace. On Thursday at 4pm, Alaska Seafood and Marketing Institute (ASMI) will host a Fisherman’s Town Hall at Double Shovel Cidery, followed by an evening reception at the Kodiak Marketplace hosted by John Deere Marine Power from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm with libations and appetizers. Bristol Bay Forever is also hosting an evening reception on Thursday at Kodiak Island Brewing & Still starting at 6 pm.
On Friday, our evening reception is from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm and is sponsored by Prout For Alaska with libations and incredible Alaska seafood. Beer and wine will be available starting at 4 pm on Thursday and Friday. Wrap up the first two days with friends, network and enjoy the camaraderie.
The Alaska Fishery Policy Forum has become the platform during which harvesters, processors, community leaders, industry members, and policy makers can discuss specific issues related to Alaska’s commercial fisheries. This year’s Forums draw state and federal authorities, community leaders, and many others together for important fisheries discussions including Eugenio Pineiro Soler, head of NOAA Fisheries, Alaska Pollock Fishery Alliance, Genuine Alaska Pollock Producers, ASMI & Circana, USCG Air Station Kodiak Search & Rescue Helicopter Crew, Furuno Hydroacoustics Basics and Fundamentals, Alaska Department of Fish & Game Commissioner Doug Vincent-Lang, Dr. Bob Foy, NOAA, U.S. Senator Lisa Murkowski, Congressman Nick Begich, Senator Dan Sullivan, Senator Gary Stevens, and Representative Louise Stutes.
