The Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute will host its annual All Hands On Deck meeting  in Girdwood, Alaska, and virtually online during November 9-11.

Alaska community members with commercial fishing and seafood interests are invited to join and learn about ASMI’s process and the opportunities and challenges facing the Alaska Seafood brand. There will be presentations by industry experts on global economic and market conditions and consumer trends.

Breakout committee meetings are scheduled first by species group – salmon, whitefish, halibut/sablefish, and shellfish. Then meetings focus on operational programs – international marketing, domestic marketing, seafood technical, and communications – to develop recommendations for the ASMI board of directors.

Additional highlights from the agenda include an informative panel discussion among ASMI’s Customer Advisory Panel, made up of executives from across the seafood supply chain, including major retailers, distributors, foodservice, and consumer brands as well as presentations from Datassential and IRI regarding the latest consumer research conducted on ASMI’s behalf.
