CAPE MAY — Fisherman Steve Clark, helping the National Oceanic and Atmopsheric Administration (NOAA) tag sharks as part of the Apex Predator Program, got more than he bargained for Saturday, according to NBC Philadelphia.

 

Clark, from Avalon, was chumming for mako sharks near 28-Mile Wreck, a World War II shipwreck off the Cape May Coast when a bigger Great White shark showed up.

 

The 16-foot shark took the chum bag and tried to take a bite out of one of the 35-foot boat's engines. The Great White swam around the boat for about 20 minutes as crew members took photos and videos.
