Staying safe at sea: Classes for fishermen

Jerry Dzugan, director of the Alaska Marine Safety Education Association (AMSEA) talks about upcoming workshops in Sitka, including one on ergonomic injury prevention for commercial fishermen.

 

 

AMSEA will also be holding fishing vessel drill conductor training. The drill classes, which AMSEA has been running for over 20 years, aim to familiarize fishermen, crew and family members with safety and survival equipment and emergency procedures on fishing vessels, as well as training in how to conduct the required monthly drills.
