A federal agency looking into the 2010 Deepwater Horizon oil rig explosion says it plans to release two volumes of a four-volume report on the disaster on June 5.
The Chemical Safety Board said in a Friday news release that the focus of its investigation is to prevent such accidents in the future. The CSB says it launched the investigation at the request of Congress to examine technical factors in the accident, along with "organizational and cultural" factors that may have contributed.
