Searchers from multiple agencies are continuing their hunt for a 37-foot fishing vessel that was reported to be taking on water Monday night about 11 miles east of St. Augustine, according to the U.S. Coast Guard.

Coast Guard Sector Jacksonville’s command center received a distress call at 1:14 p.m. Monday, crew members saying they had abandoned the 37-foot fishing vessel and gotten into a life raft, officials said. A 45-foot Coast Guard rescue boat Mayport was launched to search as was an MH-65 Dolphin helicopter from Coast Guard Air Station Savannah. An HC-130 Hercules airplane from Air Station Clearwater has also joined the search along with another Dolphin helicopter crew.
