Conservationists call for wild Atlantic salmon plan

The Atlantic Salmon has for centuries been named the “king of fish” for its power and grace. But now it is much more: A symbol of all that is wild and beautiful to millions of people.

Unfortunately, the Miramichi Salmon Association (MSA) and the Atlantic Salmon Federation (ASF) made a public call recently at the MSA dinner in Fredericton for immediate action to address the crisis facing the survival of wild Atlantic salmon. The organizations called on the Prime Minister to appoint a multi-disciplinary task force to create a Wild Atlantic Salmon Action Plan.
