CHESTERTOWN — A Kent County waterman whose license was revoked earlier this year was charged Tuesday, Dec. 2, by Natural Resources Police officers for violating his revocation by fishing for striped bass.

 

NRP identified the man as Benjamin L. Reihl, 27, of Chestertown. According to NRP, Reihl was seen on successive days working on a commercial boat in the waters off Queen Anne’s County by NRP officers on routine patrol.

 

Reihl is prohibited from being aboard any boat engaged in commercial fishing activities, according to an NRP release. NRP officer confirmed with the Department of Natural Resource’s Fisheries Service that his revocation as not under appeal and issued him two citations.
