MANCHESTER — Cafeteria lunches, to some, have never looked so good.

 

The Manchester Essex Regional School District has recently joined Gloucester High School in its efforts to serve fresh seafood regularly, and the students are on board.

 

The program, orchestrated by Cape Ann Fresh Catch, will receive its first shipment of fresh, locally caught fish this Friday. 

 

“We did a food tasting for the students and the faculty last week and it went over really well,” said Donna Marshall, director of Cape Ann Fresh Catch. “It’s important for morale for everyone, it’s important to support the local economy.”
