Xtratuf, a boot brand based in the Pacific Northwest and Alaska, has been awarded the the 2015 Fisheries Supply “InNEWvation” Award in the clothing category for its new Elite Insulated Performance Boot.

The Fisheries Supply InNEWvation Awards are judged by a panel of industry experts who evaluate submissions on overall value, durability, aesthetics and ease of installation. Eleven category winners and one overall product winner were chosen from approximately 100 submissions.

“Being recognized from Fisheries Supply on our latest innovation is an honor,” said Sean O’Brien, vice president and general manager of Global Retail for Xtratuf. “Commercial and sport fishermen have long looked to Xtratuf boots as the premier fishing boots in the industry. As we expand our rich heritage with new product offerings, it’s a testament to Xtratuf as a brand to receive recognition from an industry leader like Fisheries Supply.”

The new boots feature the standard protection and durability that the brand has built, along with added warmth, imperviousness to many organic and inorganic acids, oils, chemicals and contaminants and better breathability.

Originally developed in the 1960s for fishermen on the West Coast of the United States, the brand now sells to fishermen around the work through their online store.
