Action packed in Seattle

The NF Classic went to La Ola owners Bruce Adams and Tina Miles, who are still fishing the 100-year-old boat out of Half Moon Bay, Calif.

Jensen Maritime Consultants and Alaskan Leader Fisheries took dual Next Wave awards for their innovative concept and design of the 184-foot longliner Northern Leader, which is expected to be delivered in April sporting diesel-electric propulsion and Schottel Z-drives.

We rounded out Boatyard Day with a keynote address from Johan Sperling, vice president of Jensen Maritime Consultants, and a WorkBoat year in review from Technical Editor Bruce Buls.

The last day of the show featured Profitable Harvest, a three-hour intensive conference that attacked the topic of fuel efficiency from every angle. On the show floor, the crowds gathered for the much-anticipated return of the Fisher Poets and Fisherman of the Year Contest.

Check back for videos of the action, and next year, come see it all in person!
