JUNEAU, Alaska — Attorneys for the group behind the proposed Pebble Mine want to force an Internet services provider to preserve emails from a former U.S. Environmental Protection Agency employee and an attorney who has represented Pebble critics.

Attorneys for the Pebble Limited Partnership asked a judge Monday for permission to serve a subpoena on Alaska Communications.

They say they're concerned the emails will be deleted as part of routine server maintenance and file-clearing procedures by Alaska Communications.
