Cummins  announced the opening of a new Alaska service location on Kodiak Island last week that will serve as a service and support location for commercial marine applications.

The decision to open a new location was based on valued feedback from customers, an increased use of Cummins engines in Alaska and Kodiak’s role in the state’s economy.

The new location will feature repair and maintenance services for Cummins engines, a sales staff, genuine parts, full service tooling and new and ReCon engine sales, reposers and overhauls.

“Cummins looks forward to becoming an integral part of the local community in Kodiak and further adding value to customers by expanding the support network in Alaska by providing the same caliber of sales and service customers have come to rely on globally,” wrote Susan Hong, a Cummins marketing manager, in a press release.

The new facility is located on Near Island, one mile north of the new Kodiak Shipyard at 158 Alimaq Drive Bay 2, Kodiak, AK 99615.
