MLA announces promotion

The Massachusetts Lobstermen’s Association (MLA) promoted Beth Casoni to associate executive director. Casoni was executive assistant for four years and has worked hard at building relationships both inside and outside the industry for the association.

Her achievements include working with the National Seafood Marketing Coalition and helping launch the Commonwealth Quality Program in Massachusetts, lobster sector, on Oct. 1 with the Department of Agriculture. She has also been working with MLA executive committee members to form the Lobster Foundation of Massachusetts, a nonprofit focused on educational outreach programs and research to ensure the sustainability of the lobster stocks in Massachusetts.
