The Gulf of Maine Lobster Foundation held two of three scheduled groundline exchanges this spring. This month the program has registered more than 180 lobstermen who will bring roughly 230,000 pounds of float rope to the third exchange, held May 20-22 in Scarborough, Maine.
Lobstermen who want to exchange rope must pre-register by contacting the foundation.
