IN SEARCH OF ELLEN MARIE

 AUTHOR Rachel Rowley Spaulding

HUNTS FOR

EASTERN-RIG DRAGGER

“In Search of Ellen Marie is a wonderful combination of personal narrative and historical research. The two are rarely combined. Large stories, like that of the New England ground fishing, are often best revealed by up-close and detailed glimpses of the realities found in the lives of the individuals (and their vessels) who have been part of that greater story.  Thank you for offering such a glimpse.”

Christopher Hall, curator of Exhibits, Maine Maritime Museum

“Page-turner may be a cliché, but this memoir-cum-mystery with a clever premise is a strong contender for this honor.”
